Children of War – Thaemiél
On a video I saw a man, filled with anger. A former soldier and a veteran that questioned the stupid thing that a man that is trusted to kill enemies abroad for the flag and country, at home is considered a child that can not be trusted to have a glass of beer. He made the conclusion that it meant that we find it OK to send children to war to die!
Dark veil of sorrow – Thamiél
“Dark Veil of Sorrow” was inspired by the real-life grief of a close friend who lost her newborn son prematurely. The song is a tribute to the depth of maternal love, the silence that follows unimaginable loss, and the fragile hope that some form of peace may exist beyond this life. Written in an ethereal, symphonic gothic style, it blends haunting melodies with poetic lyrics to evoke the emotional landscape of mourning, memory, and spiritual longing. It is a lament—not only for a child—but for all the silent spaces left behind by love interrupted.
This is based on the story of the The Little Match Girl, that my grandma used to read for me as a goodnight story. Well, it was on my own request! But you really sleep good when you cried your self to sleep! The story stuck with me and is one of my favorites, tragic as it is.
Missing you Papa – Theruul
In loving memory of my father, who departed this life on February 6th, 2023, a month after turning 91, in his own bed, at home, with family.
The Divine Betrayal – Thaemiél
This is the story of Job from the Bible, focusing on the moment described in Job 2:3. A righteous man is shattered without cause, his family and fortune destroyed in a divine wager. He pleads for meaning, but is met only with silence. A tragic symphonic descent into unjust suffering.
The Final Prayer Of The Fig Tree – Thaemiél featuring Theruul
In the Bible there’s a curious little story about Jesus cursing a fig tree for not having any figs when He happened to want one. You’ll find it in Mark 11:12–24. The next day, the poor fig tree was stone-dead — dried up from the roots. According to Jesus, the moral of the story was that if you truly believe in God in your heart, you can move mountains. Well… I’ve never met a believer who’s moved so much as a molehill — and from the fig tree’s point of view, the whole thing seems a bit unfair. So I wrote a song about it.
